Fresh from his box of tricks, Crash Party unleashes the next of his Party Weapons - a collection of remakes, reworks and remixes of classic tunes. The idea being that if these had been released in the Big Beat days then they would've been white labels that made the crowd dance hard!
Weapon P is here, the 8th "Weapons" release. You know it, but maybe not this way... Taken back to the original sample sources and reimagined in the Cut n Paste Crash Party way homage to the original Fatboy Slim track. I have to praise you like I should.
Alongside the Cut n Paste version is a 90s Speed Garage remix that inserts a bit more bottom end uumph to the track... watch out for your bassbins!
A side note from Crash Party.
"A while back I made a certain mash up of "Praise You" and Candi Staton's "You Got The Love" alongside Alan Vanussi under the name Hardly Subtle. It did fairly well, even to the point that Fatboy Slim opened his sets for a year or more with an edited verion of the track. To be honest, I may have been a little bit chuffed about that.
This version is more about where I am now with the introduction of my Bed Hed alias (alongside Doctor Hooka).
If You want to check the Hardly Subtle version then visit the Hardly Subtle bandcamp page for the digital version or the Battle Weapons Bandcamp to grab the 7.
Look out for more Party Weapon releases soon and a compilation album at the end of it all.
